Pasta moussaka

4 Portions
Ingredients:
  • 1 package farfalle pasta “ARTE”
  • 750 g minced meat
  • 2 onions
  • canned tomatoes /400 g/ “ARTE”
  • 4 tbsp. oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 10 sprigs parsley – finely chopped
For the topping:
  • 30 g butter
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp fresh milk – 200 ml.
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 150 g cheese for sprinkling on the top

Method of preparation:

1. Boil the pasta in salted water, then drain it and leave it aside.
2. Fry the finely chopped onion in the hot oil. Mix the minced meat with 100-150 ml of water and add it to the already softened onion. Fry for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Sprinkle with the parsley, salt, red and black pepper. Add the juice of the canned tomatoes.
4. Mix in the cooked pasta.
5. Cover a baking tray with half of the canned tomatoes. Then pour in the pasta and cover with the remaining tomatoes. Bake at 180 degrees for 25 minutes.
6. Prepare the topping: melt the butter and sprinkle the flour on top.
7. After frying the flour for 30-40 seconds, pour in ice-cold fresh milk. Mix with a wire whisk until the mixture thickens. Remove it from the heat and add the two eggs one after the other. Stir vigorously and then sprinkle with salt.
8. Spread the topping evenly on top of the baked moussaka and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake for another 15-20 minutes at 180 degrees. After the moussaka is cooked, wait about 10 minutes before cutting it and serve.
